This octagonal entrance hall, with a small dome in the centre of the ceiling, had four cupboards built into the diagonals so the small room had 6 doors. The outer and inner were varnished oak which the client wanted left, but wanted an Egyptian design for the room. Faux ‘stone’ walls, verdigris woodwork with murals on both side ceilings and doors marbled and decorated with ancient Egyptian motifs, completed the design.
